Film Marketing
Film marketing is defined as any activity that supports the reach of the target group throughout the film's life cycle. Promotion and other marketing activities in the arts and culture have slightly different characteristics than traditional products and services. These characteristics are a consequence of the specificity of organizations in the fields of culture and art, but also of the individuality of the artistic creation, since the work of art, and this includes the film, ultimately reflects the creativity of the individual or group.
Due to the high availability of content, marketing teams engaged in the promotion of films have an increasingly difficult and demanding task in achieving the success of marketing campaigns. The creative team of our Agency this time had a challenging task: To promote the debut short film by the Bosnian author at the Sarajevo Film Festival, the largest regional film festival.
The film "An Artist's Thought" depicts a man, an artist, an individual traveling with his thoughts and thus questioning his own being placed in the universe. The premiere aired at the 24th SFF, with promotional activities aimed at promoting the film's festival life.
When all existing tools, channels and ways of communicating with the audience, and different approaches and strategies are put to good use, the marketing budget does not necessarily play such a big role in the success of the campaign.
